I was born on Valentine Avenue and Fordham road in the Bronx. I grew up in the town of
Ringwood New Jersey located in the Ramapo Mountains. While growing up I discovered that my town was full of Mining history dating back to the Revolutionary and Civil war. While attending William Paterson College I started to Explore the local mines and learn there history. I have always been fascinated with the past and the ruins which still remain today. There is just a great sense of danger and excitement that thrills me when exploring under ground, along with finding out somethings past reason for existence.
I am 41 years old and just lead a very extremely active life of adventure and stress. I have been working on Wall Street for 17 years as an equity stock trader. I currently work for Domestic Securities but have worked at many brokerage houses, Prudential Securities, First Boston, Dillon Read, UBS, Calyon. When the madness of trading ends, I change my shirt for some different types of fun. I am an EMT and volunteer as a ski patroller up at Windham mt in upstate New York. The thrill of mountain rescue is a rush along with smashing down some steep mogul runs and avoiding some trees in the woods. After I take some big air on my skis. I go from 3500ft above sea level, grab my mining gear and head a 1000 feet below ground to seek what lies beneath the earth. What also makes the mining adventure so enjoyable is that my father Lou Garcia who is 77 comes along with me. After a day of mining comes to and end, and all the artifacts and history is gathered up. I look forward to a Cruise down the strip at 100 in my 71 Roadrunner and anticipating what lies around the next bend. Which usually means an up coming board meeting for 1100 Grand concourse where I am the treasury for the building in the South Bronx my new home.
